The PR Manager is a business leader, people developer, and strategic partner all at once. In this role, you're not just running accounts, you're setting direction, building client trust, and actively contributing to the growth of the account. You think six months ahead, bring solutions before problems surface, and hold yourself to a standard that makes the whole team better. You're as comfortable presenting an upsell deck to a client as you are giving a junior team member meaningful feedback. This is a role for someone who's ready to lead not just execute.


What You'll Do


  • Lead the majority of client calls for your specialty
  • Serve as the strategic client contact for your specialty, managing email communication and ad hoc calls
  • Produce all strategic client deliverables consistently and with minimal revisions including QBR decks, campaign and quarterly strategy decks, Konnect service upsell documents, and internal client health docs
  • Drive media results: one to two Full Share of Voice stories per client per month and one to two national broadcast segments per year across your portfolio
  • Proactively develop forward-looking account strategies for all managed clients at least six months ahead
  • Identify and close upsell opportunities for existing clients, targeting a minimum of $10,000 in incremental agency fees per year across services like mailers, events, social, influencer, and survey programs
  • Own five media outlets as part of building Konnect's agency award, speaking, and industry press presence maintaining those relationships monthly and securing two agency-facing opportunities per year
  • Draft one piece of content per quarter for the Konnect newsletter in your area of expertise
  • Deliver two client testimonials per year and share them with managers and leadership
  • Mentor one to two team members through monthly touchpoints, constructive feedback, and meaningful delegation investing in their growth as a consistent priority

What You Bring


  • 6+ years of PR experience, with previous management experience in a fast-paced agency environment
  • A BA in Mass Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
  • A proven track record of leading high-level campaigns and building strong client relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, write and present at a senior level, and manage multiple accounts simultaneously
  • Experience with budgeting, scope building, and identifying organic growth opportunities within existing accounts
  • Hybrid availability three days per week in office
